In Loving Memory and Honor of Cindy Morosko, Nancy Roshka, Dave Cretella and all those affected by this horrible disease called cancer.
It’s time to run cancer out of Connecticut.
HAPPY NEW YEARS to everyone out there checking out my site. I am wishing everyone to be happy and healthy in this and all the upcoming years.
As 2025 has come to an end, I first want to thank everyone who kept me going by checking up on me and giving me words of encouragement. 2025 was a difficult year, but it was not an impossible year. I took a lot of time for myself and worked on some of the things that were bothering me. I am currently feeling well, the pounds are coming off and the running addiction is starting to set in once again. I did participate in some events and they all turned out as a positive experience. Photos will be posted shortly.
As we are now in 2026, Run Cancer Out of CT will be making some changes. I am going to be out there raising funds and awareness against that dreaded disease that affects so many of us in one way or another, that part is not changing. But I will be changing my focus on who I will be raising funds for. With the Marine Corps Marathon being the event that started my long distance running back in 2018, I will be dedicating 2026 to the men and women in uniform. In doing so I will be participating in events throughout the year that represent the Army, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and even Space Force. Sorry Navy, with the crazy schedule lined up I couldn’t fit you in at this time. Also this year I will be branching out into other areas of social media, stay tuned for more information and those links.
For those of you who don’t know, I had come down with a very rare form of Hypoxia. If you don’t know what Hypoxia is, it is a lack of oxygen. The type that I had, I was told that there is no cure or treatment for it. My blood oxygen level was good, therefor they couldn’t just put me on oxygen. What was happening was, my body was not absorbing the oxygen after I had taken it into my lungs. Which means, my cells, tissues, muscles and more importantly my organs were not receiving the amount of oxygen that they should have been getting to function properly. By some sort of miracle that had passed, after 14 months, but none the less I am trying to get back to normal. I have dropped about half of the weight that I had put on during that timeframe and I am continuing to try and drop the rest. But the hardest part during these past two years was losing some loved ones, both family and friends of the family.
At a minimum, I will be updating the site on a monthly basis. One of my goals for 2026 is to keep everyone updated on the progress of how everything is going. There will be more pictures and presentations to show how your support is making a difference in so many lives.
Stay tuned for more updates….
